DePaul AAUP Advocacy Chapter

Who we are and what we do:

The mission of the American Association of University Professors (AAUP) is to advance academic freedom and shared governance; to define fundamental professional values and standards for higher education; to promote the economic security of faculty, academic professionals, graduate students, post‐doctoral fellows, and all those engaged in teaching and research in higher education; to help the higher education community organize to make our goals a reality; and to ensure higher education’s contribution to the common good.

The AAUP advocacy chapter at DePaul includes tenure-line and term, and adjunct, faculty, teaching staff, and graduate student members, all of whom are organized together to advance the issues set forth at left on campus. We understand that teachers’ and staff’s working conditions at DePaul are students’ learning conditions. With respect to both in common, we do what must be done.

Please join our advocacy chapter by joining the AAUP! Who is eligible? Any person who holds or has retired from a professional position of teacher, researcher, graduate student, or related professional appointment, excluding administrators, at DePaul.
